• Stereo 1/8" jack with solder terminals.
• Perfect for connecting line-level audio, infrared receivers, infrared emitters, and other low-voltage signals through a TechWire wallplate.
• Simply drill a 1/4" hole in a blank insert (immediately above, not included) and put in the jack.
• For ease of installation, solder 3" wires to the jack before installation. Then just crimp-connect these wires to the audio or control wires coming from the wall.

Solder line-level audio cable to the jack per this diagram.

Drill a 1/4" hole in a blank insert (immediately above, not included) and install the jack in the hole. (Note that you may need to countersink the back of the hole a little so that the jack sits completely flush.) Make sure that the nut goes all the way down and is flush with the connector center. Otherwise, the plug will not go in completely.

Snap the assembly into a quickport frame and screw the frame into the wall.

Use a 172-0003 1/8" phone plug to two RCA jack Y harness to "break out" line level audio to RCA connectors. The 172-0003 is wired like this.

Solder your IR cable (quad or cat5) to the jack per this diagram.

Drill a 1/4" hole in a blank insert (immediately above, not included) and install the jack in the hole.
