After you attach standard baseboard molding to the wiring channel cover, they become an integrated unit. WireTracks NC wiring channels are designed to be installed in new homes, condominiums, apartments, and commercial buildings. When installed properly in conjunction with conduit, building owners will be able to add new wiring to any location within a house at any time in the future without damaging the walls. WireTracks NC wiring channels are similar to the original WireTracks product, except that they are installed before the wallboard and have a shelf that creates a seal and makes wallboard easy to install. WireTracks CM kits turn regular crown molding into removable wiring channels that you can use to hide low voltage or electrical cables (check your local codes).
